Implementation · Entity & Ontology Engineering

Make your business unambiguous to a machine.

Search engines and AI systems reason about entities: organisations, services, places, people and how they relate. We build the service ontology for your business and state it consistently across your pages and markup.

The retrieval problem

If a system cannot tell exactly what you do, it will not recommend you for it.

Most sites describe services in loose prose, name them differently on different pages, and never state how they relate. A retrieval system then has to infer that your corporate recovery and insolvency pages describe connected services, delivered by named specialists, in specific places. Inference is where you lose to a competitor who stated it plainly.

What we measure

The numbers this work is built on.

Each is calculated for your pages and your competitors', against the same buyer queries, before anything is changed.

Entity completeness

attributes stated / attributes expected

For each service entity, how many of the properties a system expects are actually stated.

Naming consistency

1 − (name variants / mentions)

How consistently each service is named across your site and external profiles.

Relationship coverage

relations stated / relations that exist

How many of the real connections between your services, people, places and credentials are made explicit.

The work

What we do.

Service ontology

Define each service, its sub-services and how they relate, as a structured hierarchy.

Entity definitions

Write a factual definition of every core entity: what it is, who delivers it, where, and for whom.

Structured data

Express the ontology in schema.org markup that matches what each page says.

Consistency pass

Align names, descriptions and facts across your site and external profiles.

Deliverables

What you receive.

Service ontology

Your services and their relationships, documented and agreed.

Entity definitions

An approved definition for each core entity, ready to use across your pages.

Structured data

Validated schema.org markup for every page in scope.

Consistency report

Every conflicting name or fact found, and its correction.

Common questions

Is this just schema markup?

No. Markup is the last step. The work is deciding what your entities are and how they relate; the markup expresses that decision. Markup added without it often contradicts the page it sits on.

What is a service ontology?

A structured model of what you offer: each service, its parts, and its relationships to other services, people, locations and credentials.
